Future Disco began in 2009 with a compilation entitled ‘A Guide to 21st Century Disco’. Since then Future Disco has gone on to release seven compilations and host events in every corner of the globe, whether it be Dubai, Estonia, Helsinki, Singapore or Amsterdam, Future Disco has brought a the unique take on house to some of the worlds best venues.

Starting with the compilation series, what makes a Future Disco album so special? Well, each one is re-edited and retouched so you get a totally new experience: even if you know the tracks they won’t all sound the same on a Future Disco album. The selection is also a solid indicator of what’s happening on today’s dance floors. Often recognizing producers who go on to conquer the world, checking back on those early compilations and you will find Tensnake, Aeroplane and Mario Basanov, alongside remixes of bands like Friendly Fires and Metronomy. A clear indication of what was in store was when iTunes named Future Disco vol 2 its Dance album of the year. The first time a compilation had been given the title is both a testament to the wide appeal and cutting edge nature of the album. Today you will also find the sub series Poolside Sounds, a daytime take on the concept that explores those long summer days and party nights.

The albums are only half the story with Future Disco events taking place each month in locations worldwide. Each Summer Future Disco takes residence at Space Ibiza, constantly named one of the best clubs in the world where in 2012 it hosted the Sunset Terrace. Thousands of people each week danced to names such as Maxxi Soundsystem, Clockwork, Tiger & Woods alongside resident Sean Brosnan. In the birthplace of London, Future Disco delivers nights in the capital’s best venues including a recent party that featured James Murphy and Hot Chip. this is alongside residencies in Amsterdam at Club Air and Ahjo in Helsinki.

So the future of Future Disco? One thing is for certain: it will continue to map out the sounds of current dance floors in 2013, with more albums and of course the monthly radio show. Then expect more parties in more places for more people.

Hed Kandi is a UK-based record label and a music brand which was established in 1999 by Mark Doyle, specialising in Nu-Disco, a romantic species of disco-box house music. Hed Kandi's catalogue includes both artist albums and various genres of club compilations. As well as producing music albums and compilations, Hed Kandi host events all over the world. From their famous Saturday night parties in Ibiza to pool parties in Las Vegas, their distinct brand of uplifting house music accompanied by a live saxophonist and percussion player can be found in every corner of the globe.

History

The record label has made a lot of collections, like Back to Love and Beach House, with cds produced in UK, USA and Australia.
Hed Kandi originally opened up in 1997 under Jazz FM and released their first compilation 'Nu Cool', in 1999, the company went private and gradually transformed into what it has become today. In 2002 they held their first club night in London, today they run hundreds of nights a year in clubs across the world. They have also had several chart hits including Stonebridge's 'Put 'em High'.
In January 2006, Hed Kandi Records was acquired by the UK record company Ministry of Sound for an undisclosed sum.[1] Since then, Mark Doyle and his team created a new record label, Fierce Angel. As of 2009 the Hed Kandi brand, together with Ministry of Sound, belonged to the MSHK Group.
In February, 2011 Hed Kandi America partnered up with ME Hotels to hold monthly events on their resorts and hotels in Cancun and Cabo San Lucas.
The brand has also opened up various factions across the world outside their central London HQ including Hed Kandi America, Hed Kandi France, Hed Kandi Asia, Hed Kandi Germany and Hed Kandi Australia & New Zealand.

I was born to Siderno, beautiful ionic town of the province of Reggio Calabria. After the usual scholastic run, I finally decide to cultivate my true passion: the music. I practically listen to all genres privileging above all rock and Brazilian rhythms; then one day a friend lends me a compilation: Bassic Instinct II, is love to first listening!! Beginning to interest me to the authors as Thievery Corporation, Mo Horizons, Moodorama, Trio Electrico, Boozoo Bajou.

From there to a few months I succeed in creating me with many sacrifices a discreet cdteca and above all a good knowledge of the artists and the labels that they live the panorama electro downtempo, nu jazz, deep and soulful house. Thanks to some friendships, I begin a radio program for a small local radio. Contemporarily I am catapulted behind the consoles of the places more attended of the province really for the originality of my musical proposal (and the beautiful thing and that I didn't even have never tried to mix). During the same period I also work with a provincial magazine that grants me a space to review album and artists to my choice. Three years later landing to Radio Touring 104 of Reggio Calabria, one of the radio more followed of south Italy. I currently play in various clubs and I collaborate with different web radio: SSRadio (Uk), Smoothtraxx Radio (Greece), TraxxFm (Switzerland), WTC HouseMusicRadio (Argentina), Radio Effedue (Italy).
